Yesterday (29 July 2009) at 10:00 PM two Baloch freedom fighters, riding on motorcycle, thrown a hand grenade on the camp of Frontier Corps FC (a division of Pakistani army). The occupiers’ camp is situated inside Degree College, Saryab Quetta/Shal. Due to the grenade explosion six occupiers sustained serious injuries, two of them seriously. After that FC occupiers started indiscriminate firing on civilians and injured a Baloch passerby. Then FC moved in different localities of Saryab area and started aerial firing to cause fear among Baloch civilians. In the locality of Killi Bangulzai FC killed a Baloch woman, she was going to her relatives house when FC targeted her.
But on the other hand the so-called free press of Pakistan mentioned that unknown assailants, referring to Baloch freedom fighters, killed a woman.
By targeting Baloch civilians and then blaming Baloch freedom fighters for it, Pakistani occupiers want to defame Baloch freedom fighters. But it is impossible how can the occupiers block sunlight with their dirty fingers.
Here it is worth mentioning that Baloch people in Shal/Quetta have welcomed this attack on occupiers.
Our deepest sympathies are with relatives of the Martyred Baloch woman who was killed by Pakistani occupiers on 29 July 2009, in Killi Bangulazi Shal, Pakistani-occupied Balochistan.

BSO Azad is the popular Baloch student institute that supports all Baloch groups, which are struggling for the independence of Balochistan.

It has been a month now Pakistani occupiers have handed over the law and order control, of the cities of Balochistan, to Frontier Corps (FC), a division of Pakistan army. In all the cities and towns of Pakistani-occupied Balochistan FC is checking/searching randomly every vehicle and house, where FC whishes. Especially the city of Shal/Quetta is under the tight scrutiny of FC where they stop all the traffic and check cars one by one, during checking they abuse Baloch civilians and beat them. The Pakistani-occupiers even check children and slap them.
One such case of FC checking:
Abdul Salam was going with his family from Zarghoon Road towards Sariyab, in their car.
[Abdul Salam: FC stopped our car near the Sariyab over-pass bridge at 10:45 PM (18 July 2009) They told me to park my car near the footpath, so I did it, then they said come out, I came out but they said “no all of you come”. So all of my family came out of the car including my kids. They searched our car, and then they asked me in Urdu “what are you?” I replied “I am Baloch”. After this they up their eyebrows and turned my face towards the nearby wall and put my hands on the wall, and searched me very roughly. They take my mobile phone, I said give it to me, they said you Harami (bastard), I told them you people are mad, then they slapped me in the face. By this time my family members were crying (all of them women), then FC men again forcefully searched my pockets and takeaway all my belongings my cash and wristwatch. I begin resisting them, there were cries of my kids and family, I abused them and they put their gun barrels towards us. I was helpless, my family…. kids, you cannot imagine it what I have gone through. So silently we sat in the car and went on our way. What can I do about this? We are slaves.]
This was one story of Pakistani-occupiers humiliation towards Baloch people. There are tens of these types of happenings every day, but who will care for Balochs? Yes, Balochs have to be united against occupiers, then, in unity they can force the occupiers to leave their Motherland.
FC also targets Baloch youths, the students, if they find any one is wearing Balochi dress or guerilla style caps then they humiliate them, abuse them and beat them till bleeding. If anyone resisted they take them to their torture cells.
In this new search operation in cities the Pakistani occupiers are mainly targeting Baloch Students Organization (BSO Azad) youths. Tens of BSO Azad members have been arrested in the past one-month. Two of the BSO Azad members who have been arrested on bogus charges by Pakistani occupiers are Fazal Sher and Sami Baloch. Fazal Sher was arrested two weeks ago from a local bus in front of hundreds of people, two days later he was produced before the press. Occupiers say that Fazal Sher was carrying an anti-tank mine. Remember Fazal Sher was arrested empty handed, but where the anti-tank mine came from?
Sami Baloch was arrested on 19 July 2009 from Satellite Town at evening time by a FC squad. Like Fazal Sher, Sami Baloch is a student of University of Balochistan (Geology department) and was staying in the university hostel. Every evening Sami Baloch went to Satellite Town, on his bicycle, for tuition classes. Sami Baloch was teaching school children as part time and a source of income. But on 19 July when he was returning to university hostel he was stopped by FC for search, after it the rest is Pakistani created drama. The occupiers produced Sami Baloch to the press, Sami Baloch’s face was wrapped in black cloth like a bloodthirsty terrorist, and occupiers showed newsmen six hand-grenades and a suicide-bomber jacket, they said he was carrying this on his bicycle. But the main point is this that Sami Baloch was not carrying these stuffs, as they occupiers say, he was wearing a cap, on which it was written BALACH and BALOCH. And there was a picture of Shaheed Balach Marri on the front of his bicycle, and the word Baloch was inscribed on the mudguard of his bicycle.
Apart from terror campaign of Pakistanis in Shal and other cities of Pakistani-occupied Balochistan, the question arises that why Pakistanis are affiliating Baloch youths with “suicide subject”?
Yesterday (20 July) a Pakistan news channel interviewed a would-be suicide bomber (in captivity of occupiers). The would-be suicide bomber said he was trained in Afghanistan by Brahamdagh Bugti. He said Brahamdagh Bugti is supported by the government of Hamid Karzai and India.
But no one knows that who this person is that is presented by Pakistani news channel, he could not speak well, he just looked like a mad men.
That would-be suicide bomber’s arguments seemed less to suicide bombing and more towards relating Brahamdagh Bugti to Afghanistan and India.
But still it is not clear that why Pakistani occupiers, in their new scam, are relating Balochs to “suicide subject”? Can it be making of proof that Balochs are also like Al Qaeda and Western rights groups should not have their sympathies with Baloch people (but its another question that still Westerns are ignoring Balochistan issues)!
We must keep in mind that couple of days back Pakistani PM has told his Indian counterpart in Sharm Al Shekh, Egypt, that “we have proof about the Indian involvement in Balochistan”.

Below is the letter of a Pakistani-occupier’s police official to a Pakistani English newspaper. We want to just post this that what occupiers want to convey for what purpose, in an “innocent way”. By the way the letter’s title was “Balochistan insurgency: an insider speaks”.
The letter:
THIS is apropos of Kausar S. Khan’s letter, ‘Murder of five men in Quetta (July 3), in which the writer has lamented that despite the brutal murders the police have not arrested the murderers and civil society has not condemned its perpetrator, the BLA.
I want to give the readers an insider’s view of these attitudes. I had assumed the charge of Capital City Police Officer, Quetta, in 2004, when the city was under curfew in the aftermath of the killing of 43 Hazaras in one incident.
Quetta had witnessed over 200 sectarian killings during a period of one year preceding my posting. ‘Lashkar-i-Jhangvi (LJ)’, and not the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), was behind these killings. The BLA had its own separate agenda of eliminating ‘Punjabi’ settlers’ in target killings and making bomb blasts at congested places to challenge the writ of the government. In just one such blast at the busy Mezaan Chowk, two dozen persons were killed.
The Quetta police took up the challenge and as a result not a single incident of sectarian attack or BLA-related killing took place during the next year.
The reason was that all sectarian killers and BLA members were arrested in coordination with the ISI and the MI.
The coordination of the police, the intelligence agencies and community leaders was such that suicidal bombers hideouts were identified and raided before they could operate.
But soon after these landmark achievements were made, the events that unfolded afforded me an opportunity to peep into the reasons as to why terrorism thrived.
I faced institutional resistance to taking my gains to their logical end. Some examples would catch the whole situation in a microcosm. I received intelligence reports that Lashkar Jhangvi was planning to ambush DSP Nisar Kazmi who was interrogating the arrested sectarian terrorists.
I tried my best to get an official house allotted to him in the Police Lines for his safety, but the police department refused it.
As a result, the DSP was attacked and critically injured, while the police killed one of the assailants in hot pursuit. The said DSP has got himself transferred to Punjab for his safety.
Sub-Inspector Shahid Raisani, who interrogated the BLA men, too applied for official quarters in the Police Lines, which was refused by the Police Department. He was gunned down by the BLA.
I myself was so demoralised due to institutional resistance and non-cooperation that I was constrained to request the then chief minister for a transfer.
The ‘Hazara’ Councilor mentioned by Kausar S. Khan is the same Talib Ali Agha who had cooperated with me in identifying the hideout of two prospective suicide bombers.
The terrorists were raided but they blew themselves up to avoid arrest. He too has paid the price for patriotism.
Taking lessons from all this, several SSPs, SPs, DSPs and SHOs who had participated in my campaign took turns to seek pardon from the BLA.
I dare them to take ‘polygram tests’ to deny my claim. That explains as to why the police are reluctant to arrest the terrorists. Civil society is always timid.
When the police are scared and demoralised, how can an unarmed shopkeeper, schoolteacher or a lawyer gather courage? Ultimately it becomes a conspiracy of silence.
Matters have become worse in Balochistan as police indifference has emboldened the terrorists. The BLA and LJ have joined hands. Due to lack of enforcement, even terrorists challenging Iranian government have set up bases in Balochistan.
Foreign interference is rampant. The demoralisation of the police has encouraged criminal gangs from as far as Kandhar in Afghanistan to freely prey upon the citizens of Quetta.
These intertwined factors, mutually stimulating each other, have created a syndrome of extraordinary force.
Dozens of Punjabi settlers have lost their lives to grenade attacks. About two dozen Punjab policemen have died in target killings. ‘Memon, ‘Parsi and’ Ismaili’ businessmen are selling their properties in Quetta at throwaway prices. Journalists are being threatened. Kidnappings are rampant.
When Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Khan Raisani took the oath, he asked me to return to the Balochistan police. I consented but told him that political commitment akin to what was exhibited by Gen Naseerullah Babar in rooting out urban terrorism in Karachi was needed.
Otherwise it would become another round of policemen and cooperating community leaders losing their lives and honour for a cause that nobody owns.
Is that commitment there? These are some 45 to 50 terrorists who are to be nabbed or killed.

Previous night Baloch Liberation Army’s (BLA) spokesman Mir Azad Khan Baloch informed news agencies (via satellite phone) in Shal/Quetta that BLA has nothing to do with “Hit List” which was published by newspapers. He warned newspaper owners that not to affiliate BLA with ISI propaganda.
